Quick Answer
You unlock gambling by accepting the Feeling Lucky email, which opens the Gambling tab and its slot machine. It's optional and no achievement needs it. You can win or lose everything you bet, so don't count on it for steady money.
How do you unlock gambling in Can 'Em All?
Unlock Bat, Knife and Pistol, keep reading your emails, then accept Feeling Lucky.
Unlock the first weapons
Unlock Bat, Knife and Pistol. Buying Pistol alone doesn't unlock the Casino, so keep playing through the story emails.
Wait for Feeling Lucky
After the Today's Special email, wait for Feeling Lucky. In one run the company's slot machine letter arrived at the end of day 31, but the day can differ in your save.
Accept the email
Open Feeling Lucky in the Mail tab on your computer and choose Accept. The Gambling tab then opens.
Do this before you finish the game, because the Can 'Em All ending changes your email sequence. See the Can 'Em All walkthrough for the full order.
Can you make money from the slot machine?
You can finish ahead, but you can also lose everything you put in. Here's one run:
| Session | Result |
|---|---|
| First try | Started with $31, ended with $0. |
| Second try | Started with $66, left with $1,800. |
| Normal shift afterward | Earned about $3,200. |
In that run, one normal shift paid more than the winning session. Your numbers will change with your progress.
The company's letter says losses are final. Don't bet money you need for your next upgrade.
For steadier cash, use the Can 'Em All money guide.
Do you need the 999X jackpot for an achievement?
No. A colleague's letter mentions a 999X jackpot, but none of the 12 Can 'Em All achievements mention gambling or that jackpot, including the hidden achievements.
