Quick Answer

To automate your factory, unlock Automated Defense, add robots, process creatures with machines, and extend conveyors to delivery. Increase production by reducing processing time, improving robot handling, and adding upgrades that produce more cans. These systems automate individual jobs, but you should not assume they provide endless unattended operation.

How do you automate the factory?

Build around four jobs: shooting creatures, pushing them toward processing, making cans, and delivering those cans.

Follow this order to work through each job in your Can 'Em All factory. It follows the production flow.

Unlock Automated Defense

Unlock Automated Defense to get your first turret. It automatically fires at nearby creatures, taking over that shooting job.

The automatic turret fires at creatures near it.

Start with this part of the chain before working through creature handling and can delivery. The turret handles nearby targets; you still need the other systems for the remaining jobs.

Add a robot to move creatures

Unlock a robot that pushes creatures toward the grinder. This gives you automated creature handling alongside the turret's automatic shooting.

You can improve robot movement speed, increase shovel size, and buy another helper. Use these options when you want to improve the creature-handling part of your setup.

Keep machine processing moving

Use your machines for processing, then reduce machine processing time to improve that stage. Your shooting and robot upgrades do not replace processing upgrades.

Watch how quickly creatures enter processing compared with how quickly cans come out. If the crusher cannot keep pace, increasing the incoming load alone will not solve the slowdown.

Check the factory machines guide when you reach this part of the production chain.

Extend the conveyor to delivery

Extend your conveyor until it reaches delivery. Once it reaches that destination, cans travel straight there.

This completes the delivery part of your automated setup. Use the conveyor guide when you work on that connection.

How do you increase production?

Reduce machine processing time first if processing cannot keep up, then improve handling and can output.

More incoming creatures do not automatically mean more finished cans. You can feed the crusher faster while it continues processing slowly. Address that mismatch before treating extra input as a production upgrade.

Next, choose upgrades for the part you want to improve:

  • Creature handling: increase robot movement speed or shovel size, or buy another helper.
  • Automatic shooting: unlock a second turret and increase turret ammo capacity.
  • Cans per creature: buy Triple Trouble, which produces three cans from each creature.
  • Additional cans: use the upgrade that duplicates cans.

You can also increase shiny can probability and raise shiny can value. Those upgrades improve your earnings from shinies; they serve a different purpose from reducing machine processing time.

Use the upgrades guide as you decide where to invest next. Match your next purchase to the job you need to improve, rather than increasing creature input by itself.

Can you leave the factory running unattended?

You can automate several factory jobs, but we can't promise it runs forever on its own.

Turrets shoot automatically, robots push creatures, and conveyors deliver cans once connected. These are the automated jobs you can build around.

More turret ammo capacity doesn't mean unlimited ammo, so check on your turrets. Refill details are still being added.
